About The Quilters Lodge

The Quilter’s Lodge is the most ambitious setup in the valley. It’s a full quilt shop — roughly 3,500 bolts, patterns, notions, precut kits and block-of-the-month clubs — but it’s also a retreat center with ten guest rooms, multiple classrooms and a longarm studio, all in the same building.

That combination is rare enough to be worth planning around. You can book in with a group, sew for several days, wander downstairs when you run out of something, and never move your car. For a guild or a group of friends who’ve been threatening to organize a retreat for years, this removes most of the excuses.

The shop side stands up on its own. The fabric selection is large, and there’s a nice touch in the handcrafted gifts made by local artists specifically for quilters.

Two practical notes: it stays open until eight on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is unusually late for this trade, and if it’s in your notes as Thimbles and Threads, that was its earlier name.

Sandy is a few minutes north with four more shops, and Riverton is close too. See Draper or the whole Salt Lake County list.

Details last checked August 2026 . Small shops move and change their hours, so it's always worth a call first.
