Huckleberry Moose is a specialist shop, and a lovely one. It belongs to Lori Nawyn, a fabric and pattern designer, which means the selection reflects an actual point of view rather than whatever the distributors were pushing this season.

The focus is handwork: vintage-inspired hand applique, embroidery, and cross-stitch, alongside her own patterns and kits. The materials follow suit — this is where you’ll find Valdani threads and a proper wool selection, neither of which tends to turn up in a general quilt shop. If you’ve been trying to source wool for applique in northern Utah, your search probably ends here.

That specialty is worth planning around. If you need a bolt of quilting cotton for a backing, one of the other Logan shops will serve you faster.
