About Fab Fabrics

Fab Fabrics sits on 2580 South in St. George at an address that has long been the home of thread manufacturing in southern Utah. Superior Threads has operated from this address, and more recently the shop has been described as sharing a company with YLI Threads — the exact corporate relationship has shifted over the years and we haven’t been able to pin down its current shape, so we’d rather describe what’s there than guess at the ownership.

What matters to you is the thread. The selection here runs well past what a general quilt shop carries, and being able to compare ranges in person — rather than guessing from a screen — is genuinely useful when you’re matching thread to a project.

The other thing worth knowing is that there’s a retreat center at the same address, with four rooms that can be reserved for sewing days and retreats. That’s covered on our retreats page, and it makes this a more interesting stop than a fabric listing alone suggests.
