Fabric stores in Richfield, Utah

Richfield sits on I-70 roughly halfway between the Wasatch Front and the southern national parks, which makes Rather Bee Quilting on North Main a natural break in a long drive — and, more importantly, about the only quilt shop for a considerable stretch of central Utah.

Reviewers describe a bright, welcoming shop with classes running, and the owner, Lora, comes in for particular praise — one customer describes her working out exactly the right fabric for a road trip quilt from a vague description.

One thing to check: some directories have started listing the shop as The Stitching Room, which may indicate a change of name or ownership. We haven’t been able to confirm that either way, so a phone call before driving any distance is wise.
